Victims Identified
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office identified the two individuals who died as Timothy Head, 78, of Van Horn, Texas, who was driving the Lincoln Navigator, and Barbara Thacker, 67, of Vernon, Texas, who was a passenger in the Nissan Rogue. Both were transported to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The remaining four occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Road Closure and Investigation
The Texas Department of Transportation closed all eastbound lanes at I-10 near Clint following the crash, with traffic diverted at Clint Exit 42 and Horizon Exit 37.
